Veel gestelde vragen

Is there an entrance fee?

Enjoy access to the park by making a reservation in advance. Reserve your spot here. Outside food and beverages are not allowed on the premises.

Can we park at your location?

Certainly! We have a guest parking area. Unfortunately, we do not have charging points available for electric cars.

Can we visit without a reservation?

We recommend always making a reservation. This prevents disappointment if no tables are available. If you’re coming with a party of fewer than 10 people, we advise reserving at least 2 days in advance. For groups larger than 10, we recommend at least a week in advance.

How can I make a reservation?

You can send a reservation request online via the Reservation link up to one hour before your desired time. If you reserve via regular email or the contact form on this site, we cannot guarantee that the reservation will be processed correctly.

When will the reservation be confirmed?

When you send a reservation request, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. Note: this is not the final reservation confirmation. You will receive that within 36 hours from one of our staff members.

Can we reserve a table outside?

On the reservation page, you can choose between an indoor or outdoor table. For an outdoor reservation, we do not reserve a specific table; you can choose a spot upon arrival.

Do I need to reserve for the Kabouterpad?

No reservation is needed to walk the Kabouterpad. During the restaurant’s opening hours, you can pick up tasks and the kabouter package.

Can we just walk in and choose a table upon arrival?

We ask all guests (with or without a reservation) to check in with the host/hostess. From there, you will be guided to your reserved table, or we can check if there is another table available for you. If you choose to sit at a table without checking in, we may ask you to move for a guest with a reservation.

I understand you operate with time slots; how does that work?

When you reserve a table at Het Grote Kabouterbos, you have it for 2 hours. You are always welcome to play (indoors and outdoors), walk the Kabouterpad, and, if possible, take a seat on the terrace before and after your reserved time.

Can we stay longer than two hours?

In principle, we always adhere to a two-hour block. Exceptions for groups can be discussed..

Is Het Grote Kabouterbos wheelchair accessible?

Yes, it is. You can also use the accessible toilet.

Are high chairs available?

Yes, they are available. Please mention this when you make your reservation or ask a staff member upon arrival.

Can we bring our dog?

Dogs are welcome, provided they are on a leash and do not relieve themselves on the premises. We also have several water bowls for dogs around the restaurant.

What age is it fun to visit?

The ideal age for independent play is between 5 and 12 years old. However, there is plenty to see and do for younger and older children as well. The Kabouterpad is fun for children aged 2 to 7.

Can we eat something other than pancakes?

Our menu includes more than just pancakes. You can find nachos, meatballs, chicken drumsticks, salads, and toast for kids—plenty of choices! We do not serve snacks like fries, croquettes, or meatballs.

Do you offer gluten-free/lactose-free/dairy-free/egg-free options?

You can order pancakes that are completely gluten-free, lactose-free, dairy-free, and egg-free. NOTE: If you choose toppings, they may contain gluten. For more information, please contact us.

It’s bad weather. Can we still have fun playing?

Absolutely! There’s plenty to see and do indoors! You can dance inside the restaurant while the kabouter band plays a song, grab a game from the shelf, or look for buttons to make the kabouters move! Additionally, we have a ball pit with various play items so that kids never have to be bored.

Can I reserve a package or children's parties?

Yes! Check the “Parties and Groups” page for various options.

Do you offer group discounts / Social Deals / Groupon?

Het Grote Kabouterbos does not collaborate with discount providers such as Groupon or Socialdeals.nl. We do not accept these vouchers at the cash register. Please do not confuse us with another pancake house with the same name that does accept these vouchers to avoid disappointment!
